Civic Groups

Cricklade and District Twinning Association - Cricklade has been twinned with Suce-sur-Erdre in Loire Atlantique, France, since 1990. The association promotes exchange visits between groups and individuals. For more information, please visit where you can also read copies of recent newsletters.

Cricklade & District Probus Club -   

Meet fortnightly on a Thursday at 10am at the White Hart Hotel in Cricklade. Contact Honorary Secretary, Richard Roberts on 01793 751063

Cricklade Historical Society - a registered charity whose object is to advance the knowledge and history of Cricklade including the parishes of Latton, Down Ampney, Marston Meysey, Kempsford, Castle Eaton and Leigh. Maintains Cricklade Museum. 

Talks take place each month on the third Wednesday at the Town Hall annexe. Doors will open at 7.00 pm and talks start at 7.30pm. Visitors welcome, entry fee is £5 for non members of the society.  Details of talks are displayed on the museum notice board and on the Town Council notice boards.

Cricklade Women's Institute - meets 3rd Thursday of every month at 7.30 pm in Cricklade Town Hall Annexe.

Royal British Legion - organises the annual Poppy Appeal and Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Save It Club - monthly scheme to raise funds for the maintenance of the Jenner Hall.

Swindon & Cricklade Railway Society - based at Blunsdon Station, working to rebuild the line between Cricklade and Mouldon Hill. 

Wilts & Berks Canal Trust - aims to establish a continuous navigable waterway linking Kennett and Avon Canal at Melksham, River Thames at Abingdon and Thames Severn Canal at Cricklade. 

Wiltshire Wildlife Trust - owns and manages Blakehill Farm Nature Reserve. Supporters group organises working parties and meetings.

VWH Rifle Club - a member of the Swindon and District Air Rifle League.
