The grazing of North Meadow.

The Hayward of The Manorial Court of the Hundred and Borough of Cricklade advises that there will be 71 cattle on North Meadow for the next few weeks and up to 20 horses until the end of the year. There are caution notices on every entrance to assist visitors. Grazing is a vital part of maintaining our National Nature Reserve. Hundreds of years of Lammas management (hay crop taken in July followed by aftermath grazing) is why North Meadow has such a unique and special biodiversity.
